Finish line moments and testimonials

It was definitely a tale of two halves.  The first half was extremely flat and nicely overcast with a cool breeze.  The second half was very hilly, the sun came out, it heated up (mid-70s), and it got very windy.  The finish line inside Montreal's Olympic Stadium with all the crowds, noise, jumbotron, etc... was far and away the coolest finishing setting of the five marathons I've done.  And hearing them announce my name and hometown over the loudspeaker as I was coming down the final stretch was about as awesome as it comes!  And as an added bonus, Montreal is about as beautiful a city as I've run in.  All told a phenomenal experience!

It was my first ever race.....and I had a blast! I've only been at it for 4.5 months....but I see how this sport can be so addicting! I finished in 2:33....which I was very happy with! Thanks for a great summer of coaching! Being a complete novice without a clue about what I was doing, the tips and info sessions were key! Thanks again for all your support! :)

I exceeded my time expectations and the event itself was a blast!  The beach is a perfect place to finish a run! I set a goal of running 2:15:00 and finished at 2:05:25.  I am definitely thankful to the training program and the Wednesday night speed drills for getting me this far.  Having now experienced the race day atmosphere surrounding a long-run, I’m approaching the rest of my Marine Corps Marathon training with a fresh boost of confidence!

I really enjoyed our training…and I really learned a lot! Although it took me a little longer than I had hoped to finish the race, I definitely enjoyed my run and was very proud of myself! I certainly couldn't have done it without your help! I'm really hoping to work my way up to a half marathon soon… so I may be in the need of your coaching/encouragement again.
