Break the Tape Running

Meet Coach Eric

I started running seriously right after high school when I needed to drop weight I carried to play football.  At the time...I had no idea what kind of impact the sport would make on me...or where it would take me.  I realized pretty quickly that distance...rather than speed...was the thing for me.  I kept running for fitness and recreation, but didn't enter my first race until I was 40 years old.  Since then, I have accomplished the following:

2002 Washington DC Marathon
2002 Richmond Marathon
2002 Star City Half Marathon
2003 Army 10 Miler
2004 Marine Corps Marathon
2004 Star City Half Marathon
2005 Chicago Marathon (Boston Marathon qualifier)
2006 Boston Marathon (Boston Marathon qualifier)
2007 Boston Marathon
2008 National Half Marathon
2009 National Marathon
                                                                 2009 Cherry Blossom 10 Miler
                                                                 2009 New York City Marathon
                                                                 Numerous 5K's and 10K's

"As soon as you come off the finish line, you remember every question you ever asked yourself.  When you cross the finish line, you have all the answers."
- David Goggins, Navy SEAL and Badwater Marathon finisher
