I started running seriously after high school with little idea what kind of impact the sport would have on me or where it would take me.  I quickly discovered that distance was the thing for me and I kept running for fitness and recreation. I didn't enter my first race until I was 40 years old, and since then I have accomplished the following:

2002 Washington DC Marathon
3:45
2002 Richmond Marathon
3:43
2002 Star City Half Marathon
1:35
2003 Army 10 Miler
1:14
2004 Marine Corps Marathon
3:36
2004 Star City Half Marathon
1:35
